Invisalign
Teen and adult patients who desire a straighter smile, but don’t want the embarrassment or inconvenience of traditional braces, can take advantage of the newest technology in invisible braces.
Invisalign is a series of clear, custom aligners that will gradually shift your teeth into the proper position. Patients should wear their aligners the majority of the time for successful treatment; however, they may remove them for a special event or important meeting.
To begin, Dr. Kimes will take 3-D images of your mouth, which a certified Invisalign lab will use to produce your set of custom aligners. You will wear each aligner for about two weeks and then you can move to the next one. You will want to schedule regular appointments at our office so Dr. Kimes can check your progress. After 6 to 18 months with Invisalign, invisible braces, you will enjoy a beautiful, straight smile.
Porcelain Veneers | Lumineers®
Consider porcelain veneers or Lumineers® if the beauty of your smile has been tarnished by chips, cracks, or stains. Veneers cover these imperfections creating a beautiful smile and are made from thin shells of porcelain. The shape of your front teeth, color or size of your teeth can be altered with veneers.
We can change your self-image and your smile in just a couple of visits with veneers. Dr. Kimes and Associates will take impressions and prepare your teeth, during your first appointment. In our dental lab, you veneers will be handcrafted with dental porcelain that reflects light like natural-tooth enamel.
Temporary veneers will be placed on your teeth at that first visit so that you can preview and “test drive” your new smile. At the next visit, Dr. Kimes will remove the temporaries, permanently bond your veneers in place, and make any necessary adjustments.
Bonding
An effective alternative, cosmetic dental bonding may be used for patients who may not need porcelain veneers or Lumineers®, but still want to fill gaps between their teeth, repair chips, or smooth tooth abrasions.
Often best for the correction of minor smile imperfections, tooth-colored cosmetic bonding materials are often used for a natural-looking restoration. Dr. Kimes and Associates will bond thin layers of a strong resin to the restoration area, and carefully sculpt the material for the best possible visually appealing and functional results.
During the procedure, the resin is then hardened and cured to help ensure that your results are durable and long-lasting. Cosmetic bonding is a fairly non-invasive treatment that preserves the natural tooth structure and offers an advanced way to enhance the look of your teeth.
Teeth Whitening
One of the best and easiest things you can do for your smile is to reverse the signs of age, smoking and even medications by brightening your smile with a teeth whitening procedure. If you are unsatisfied with the color of your teeth, teeth whitening could be the treatment for you as an affordable and easy way to make your smile sparkle.
We believe that dentist-supervised teeth-whitening is the most effective procedure for brightening your smile and Dr. Kimes offers several teeth whitening options.
